Well, That’s Over
Where has the time gone, friends? I know, I know, I’ve been absent for a while. Sometimes life gets in the way and, despite our best intentions, things fall through the cracks. Let’s make up for that now. A lot has happened over the past month. Since launching Warfighter Books in the midst of Covid 2020, I can now say thanks to you all I’ve sold almost 2500 books! Not bad for a kid with a dream.
Last month I had the pleasure of meeting two unique men. One was Jim Shooter. If you know comic books at all he was the man who saved Marvel from certain demise back in the 70s and 80s and, while demonized for a while, is a great man who did great things for both Marvel and DC (and was the main writer behind the Secret Wars storyline that is about to turned into the next Avengers flick). After that was a convo with the man who created Batman’s nemesis: Bane. Graham Nolan is a down to earth dude who currently lives in Buffalo. I broke my own rule about buying things at cons to get a print from him.
This month is always special to me. Veteran’s Day invokes fond memories of old friends, some here, others gone. It is also the date I decided to re-release my combat memoirs from Iraq and Afghanistan. If you are interested in a soldier’s perspective from the beginning of the war, give it a go.
As if that’s not enough, sign up for my mailing list and receive 5 free short stories. Can’t wait to see you there.
